I actually noticed this car before walking into a restaurant. We happened to walk out at the same time as the bartender, and when he saw me get in my car, he said “If you ever feel like selling it, give me a call.” He said this was the nicest old A8 he’d seen, and when I told him it was a 2001, he says “I actually have a 2001 S8.” That’s this car. I’ve been going to this restaurant basically my whole life, seen this car there several times, and never realized it was his since he parks so far away.

Such a great looking car.
I saw a black one with chrome mirror caps at a gas station yesterday, of course I went over to gawk at it.

Audi has been knocking it out of the park lookswise for a long time. The A5/S5 is a great design. BMW only recently caught up with the M4, but I think the Audi still takes it.

D2 A8s are future classics. I saw an S8 the other day and geeked out a little. My favorite D2 detail: the trunk keyhole within the taillight. So ultramodern, so German!

The keyhole is also the button to open it. I love telling people to open my trunk and having them not know how.

Now THAT is even better, I had no idea it was a button to... New life goal: open a D2 trunk.
